[you]
What you see is what you get with me. I've never been a high-maintenance person. I don't do makeup. I don't get expensive haircuts, or sit for manicures.
I don't own fancy purses, or popular shoes.
I hate to be uncomfortable.
I do however envy those who look polished and pretty. Those without a hair out of place or a broken nail. I often feel inadequate around those who carry out the latest trends and somehow look good in their Ugg boots, and those girls that miraculously get those skinny headbands to stay on their heads. Their lip gloss never gets smeared all over their face inadvertently. They can carry it off.
I feel like an impostor. This only bothers me occasionally.
Usually right about the time that I notice I have been wearing the same winter coat for 6 years that is worn down at the elbows, has buttons missing and may or may not have numerous coffee stains. Or when I keep shutting my hair into the car door which is a pretty good indication that it might be time for a haircut. Or the fact that the last time I bought a purse was back in 2003, or was it 2002 ?
I hate carrying a purse. That ought to be noted.
Unassuming. Boring. Me.

I hate makeup too.. Only wear it when I go out for special things and need to look a little polished.. I go get my haircut every 2-3 months bc I hate long hair it requires too much work.. If I could I would wear workout clothes day in and day out.. My mom did buy me a new purse this past summer but I had my last one for 3 years.. I do get pedicures but only recently have I gone regularly but never my nails.. M we are very similar.. :)
